Formula E driver Lucas Di Grassi talks about sustainability and electric drive aboard the Maid of the Mist.

Lucas Di Grassi is used to firsts. The Formula E driver was the race series’ first winner in Season 1 and is now the first driver to accumulate 1,000 points in the driver’s championship.

Recently, after taking second place at the the New York E-Prix, Di Grassi paid a visit to Niagara Falls where he experienced the natural wonder up close aboard the famous Maid of the Mist ferry, which is powered by ABB technology.

“This is the perfect used case of an electric power train,” he said, remarking on the newest version of the iconic ferry.
