ABB power videos to watch before you go to CIGRÉ 2014

Includes the latest video and animation on ABB's 525 kV HVDC power transmission cable system

Roughly 8000 power system executives, engineers and other experts will gather in Paris next week for the bi-annual gathering of the International Council of Large Electric Systems – that’s the English translation of Cigré- to enhance their knowledge, share ideas and network.

After they arrive, they’ll be able to peruse more than 400 research papers, visit in excess of 200 exhibition stands and participate in many conference study committees. But it’s really the technologies that steal the show. ABB will, of course, display its latest products that are shaping the evolution of a stronger, smarter grid, one of which is the next generation 525kV extruded HVDC cable system.

Whether you’re interested in finding out more about pioneering HVDC technology or Fibre Optic Current Sensors, below you’ll find four videos and one animation to watch before you head to Paris on Monday.
