A love song for a new drive

What has a love song got to do with a variable speed drive?

Last month we held a conference in Edinburgh to our partners coming from Europe, Middle East and Africa. This was a great opportunity to get to know our partners better and present the latest offering of motors, generators, drives and motion control products.

The introduction of the new all-compatible ACS580 general purpose drive was made by a talented singer Peppina with a live piano performance. The song ‘We are so compatible’ was composed and written by the Finnish singer herself for the event.

“When they told me more about the drive I understood right away how someone could really fall in love with it. Everyone would like to have such an easy co-worker,” Peppina told the partners in Edinburgh. The young artist is the new rising star in today’s pop-scene.

The ACS580 drive is the latest addition to ABB’s all-compatible drives portfolio, bringing effortless energy efficiency to a broad range of motor speed control applications.
