How important is power protection to us?

I never used to think ‘what kept a city’s power supply running smoothly?’ or ‘how do major industrial plants survive power cuts?’ I took for granted that the city I live in would always have a continuous power supply. It wasn’t until I started working at ABB that I realized just how important the role power protection plays in helping cities or major companies to supply exceptional products and services to their customers.

Sometimes it can be challenging to understand the ‘ins and outs’ of how ABB’s products help our day to day living and running of businesses. Therefore, I’ve produced what I think is an easy-to-understand video that demonstrates just how important it is to invest in power protection and how ABB’s power protection products can prevent power disruptions . One of my main messages that I want to portray in this video is investing in power protection is like taking out insurance on your car. You are making an investment to protect your equipment from external factors like the weather. Simply put, without power protection your business is more at risk of facing problems like production lines stopping.  This could lead to a waste of materials and ultimately an increase in business costs.
